Why bother checking?
Plaque builds up inside the arteries for years, usually in silence. In the legs it is called peripheral artery disease (PAD), which the CDC estimates affects about 6.5 million Americans aged 40 and older, and many of them do not know it. Spotting the early hints, and knowing your numbers, gives you time to act.
This checklist is for education only. It is not medical advice or a diagnosis, and it never replaces your doctor. Never stop or change a medication on your own.
